The enlargement of the european investment plan and the eastern partnership

Cristina García Nicolás

The success of the implementation of the European Investment Plan in 2015 has led not only to the extension of the European Investment Plan until 2020 and to the doubling of its financial capacity but also to the extension of its geographical framework. The new Foreign Investment Plan sets out some of the Juncker Plan's competitiveness objectives, linking them to the review of the European Neighbourhood Policy (2015). The objective of this work is to analyse the investment possibilities in the states of the so-called Eastern Partnership (Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan).
