Instituciones públicas, ¿"estan quemados" sus empleados?

Resumen

El burnout debe entenderse como un determinado tipo de estres ocupacional, que afecta principalmente a profesiones que tienen trato directo con los clientes. Es consecuencia de un determinado tipo de cultura, y varia sistemáticamente de una organización a otra (debido a los diferentes sistemas institucionales y culturales). Esta investigación, basada en una muestra compuesta por 250 secretarias que prestan sus servicios en la Excma. Diputación Foral de Vizcaya, la Universidad del País Vasco y el Gobierno Vasco, tiene por objeto medir el grado de estrés crónico laboral asistencial que presenta este colectivo, así como detectar las variables que inciden en su evolución. Todo ello con el propósito de poder establecer una estrategia de actuación que logre prevenir o retrasar su aparición._______________________________The burnout must be considered asa particular kind of occupational stress which is mainly suffered by workers in direct contact with the public. It is the consequence of certain kind of culture and it varies systematically from one organization to another (due to the different institutional and cultural systems). This research work, based on a sample composed of 250 secretaries working in the Excma. Diputatación Foral de Vizcaya (Provincial Council of Biscay), the University of the Basque Country and the Basque Government, is aimed at measuring the level of chronic occupational stress suffered by this group, as well as at identifying the variables which contribute to its development. All this has been done in order to establish an action strategy capable of preventing or delaying its appearance.
