The main research lines are:
- Cellular and molecular bioindicators as environmental quality criteria associated with histopathological and biochemical alterations in animals and plants: early warning biomarkers.
- Cellular responses to environmental stress caused by xenobiotic agents (heavy metals, herbicides, pesticides, etc.) and their effect on the biology of animals and higher plants.
- Enzymatic and non-enzymatic defense mechanisms against oxidative stress of environmental origin.
- Distribution models of tree species and the effect of global change.
- Vegetation analysis.
- Landscape fragmentation and connectivity analysis.
- Habitats of Community Interest.
