José María García Hernández (Huelva, 1977) graduated in Humanities at the University of Huelva in 2004. He is associated with the Project of Excellence HUM-4534 "Critical edition of the Metamorphoses and opera minora of Ovid" at the Department of Filologías Integradas of the University of Huelva since September 2010. He is a member of the research group "Nicolaus Heinsius" (HUM-261) in the University of Huelva from the same date.
He received a Masters in European Literature and Language Teaching at the University of Huelva, which ended with his research work New contributions to the Ibis  of Ovid by Deutsche Staatsbibliothek manuscripts Berolinensis Diez. B Sant. 4, Londinensis Musei Britannici Add. 11972 and Toletanus Biblioteca del Cabildo ms. 102-10.

Currently he is working on editing and critical commentary of Spanish manuscripts containing Ovid's opera minora, draft to be presented as his doctoral thesis.
