Efectos del apoyo social durante un primer episodio psicótico en jóvenes adultos: una revisión sistemática

La psicosis se define como la aparición de sintomatología psicótica como son las alucinaciones, delirios, pensamiento desorganizado y otros síntomas como anhedonia, abulia, alogia y afecto aplanado. El objetivo de la presente revisión sistemática es conocer qué efectos se generan cuando un individuo que experimenta un primer episodio psicótico (PEP) recibe apoyo social por parte de su círculo cercano. El criterio de inclusión incluye artículos de investigación o revisiones sistemáticas con fecha de publicación entre 2012 y 2024, individuos con un diagnóstico de PEP, nivel de apoyo social medido a través de pruebas psicométricas y pertenecer a un rango de edad comprendido entre 18 y 35 años. Aquellos estudios que no cumplen con la población o trastorno propuesto son excluidos de la revisión. La búsqueda de estudios se ha realizado a través de Pubmed, Web Of Science, SCOPUS, Medline y PsycInfo, seleccionándose un total de 16 estudios. El análisis se ha llevado a cabo conjuntamente con una segunda revisora, considerando como adecuados su inclusión en la revisión. Las limitaciones encontradas son una ampliación en el rango de edad, descarte de artículos en otros idiomas, adicción de otras problemáticas diferentes como sustancias tóxicas y no llevar a cabo la evaluación de calidad de los estudios primarios seleccionados. Tras el análisis de los estudios, se indica que el apoyo social genera resultados positivos tales como la reducción en la duración de la sintomatología psicótica, desarrollo de sentimientos de ser comprendidos y de estrategias tanto de adaptación como de afrontamiento en estilos de vida saludables.
