1.1 Mission

Linguo didactic journal was born with the purpose of contributing to scientific progress in this field by creating an international space for communication and transfer between theoretical research, the evaluation of interventions, as well as the presentation of case studies and other innovative approaches about the Language, Linguistics and Education. These objects are approximated from techno- didactics and from close approaches such as general linguistics, applied linguistics, the literary or pedagogical. These are also approached from related perspectives: communicative, neuroscientific, psychological, sociological, philosophical, cultural anthropological, ethical, etc. Contributions that approach the theme with interventions, based on proven pedagogical paradigms and other emerging ones, as well as with the application of active methodologies, will also be welcome. Likewise, this Journal, specialized in language teaching, is open to assessing inquiries raised from other areas of Education, considering the transversal, interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary aspects. These inquiries are considered of interest when they contain common or useful themes or components, as well as being transferable, enriching or representing an advance in research for the teaching of the language.

1.2 Focus and scope

The objective of the journal Linguo Didactica (LD) is to publish scientific articles. The following types of articles will be published. First, significant quantitative, qualitative or mixed evaluations, with a large sample, about teaching interventions or about the efficiency of educational applications, educational platforms, digital artifacts or digital narrative formats. Second, a research article that, in turn, addresses innovative topics in favor of the acquisition or teaching of other languages, as well as other treatments longitudinal and transversal approaches or that shed more light on the complexity of the object (for example, performance, creativity, skills acquisition, ethical education, comprehensive education, education in complexity, diversity, attention to vulnerable segments, etc.), as well as other educational topics or interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary teaching approaches of interest to this area. Third, theoretical essays with synthesizing approaches, new paradigms or models based on inquiries or review studies with a global vision of the state of the art in the didactic field. Quarter, validation studies of research instruments in this field. Fifth, bibliometric reviews or documentary studies with qualitative methodology with an innovative desire. Fifth, deepening in case studies or comparison of case studies with some of these elements or their combination: innovative variables, depth of perspective and emerging variables in the field of didactics.

1.3 Publication frequency

Linguo Didactica journal will publish one volume a year in December. If appropriate, the possibility of issuing special issues in May will be made available.

1.5. Publication rules

1.5.1 Format instructions

The summary must inform about the topic and the relevance of the research, as well as the objectives and research procedure used, the main results and the most outstanding conclusions.

The article laid out in this template must be uploaded to the platform in Microsoft Word format. The total length of the documents should not be less than 4,000 words or more than 6,000 words, excluding references and annexes. The citation style will be APA versions of the last five years. No footnotes are noted.

The format of the text will follow the instructions indicated in detail in the template. In the case of wanting to highlight a phrase or word in the text, italics will be used. For decimals, the comma (in the texts in Spanish), period (in the texts in English) will always be used.

The tables, charts, graphs and figures that are included must be integrated within the text duly ordered and with the references of the sources of origin. Each of them must be preceded by a title, indicating the type (table or graph) accompanied by a number and ordered from smallest to largest. No more than 6 figures or tables are accepted. The tables and figures will also be sent separately in jpg format.

The font size for graphs and tables will be Avenir LT. The lines of the boxes will be black and have a fine or normal point thickness. The edition of all graphs and tables must be original, so as a general rule the inclusion of a graph or image taken from another document is not accepted. Said tables or graphs must also be sent independently in PDF image format.

Mathematical formulas included in the text must be numbered. They will be edited with any equation editor. The formulas will be written in Avenir LT Pro size 10 and in italics. All mathematical formulas, together with any other symbols that appear in the text, must be sent in PDF format.

It is recommended to have carried out an extensive documentary review of 50 to 70 references, alluding 90% to the specific topic through specialized documentary sources (specialized scientific articles, doctoral theses, monographs, specialized reports...). It is recommended to check before delivery if the citations named in the body of the text correspond to the references in the final section of references. 1.5.2. Upload of documents at platform

The author or authors must upload two different documents to the platform.

A first document (title page) to be prepared and uploaded into the journal's platform (downloadable title page template English version). This document will include all the data for identification and acknowledgment of the author or authors in relation to the authorship of the article. The data it contains consists of the title of the work in Spanish and English, the full name of the author or authors, their institutional affiliation and their contact email, a summary in English and Spanish (250 to 300 words), keywords in English and Spanish (5 words) in UNESCO Thesaurus classification.

A brief 5-line biography will also be included, including training, type of contract, position if applicable, six-year, five-year terms, stays abroad, other mentions or other merits, another impact publication or previous thesis direction on the subject or research lines.

Likewise, other metadata will be included, such as ORCID profile (mandatory), Google Scholar (mandatory), Scopus, Publons, Research Gate (mandatory), Academia Edu, Dialnet and social networks as Linkedin and Twitter.

The second document (anonymous manuscript) to be prepared and uploaded is formatted in this template (downloadable manuscript template English version). This article must be sent (uploaded) to the platform WITHOUT INFORMATION ON THE AUTHORS. The text of the article must include the title of the article in English and Spanish, abstract in English and Spanish (250 to 300 words), keywords in English and Spanish (5 words) in UNESCO Thesaurus classification.

Therefore, to prepare the second document before submission WITHOUT INFORMATION ON THE AUTHOR, the corresponding author must follow the steps below. First, the names of the authors or personal references should not appear in the rest of the text, since they can facilitate the identification of the author by the evaluators. Second, the anonymity of this document must be ensured. To do this, information about who the document belongs to must be deleted by clicking on the document with the right mouse button. Then a dropdown appears, then Document Properties is selected. Next, in the third tab, Details, click on a link below in blue: Remove properties and personal information, ending this process. Third, for the same reason, self- citations should be avoided in the version of the article that is going to be submitted for evaluation. They can be incorporated up to one or two, instead, to the corrected version of the article, once the evaluations have been passed.

1.6 Guidelines for Authors

Online advance publication

Before the final publication of the article in the January and June issues of each year, there will be the possibility that it will be published in an in - press edition in order to speed up the publication process. Through this in - press edition , the article will be considered published for all purposes, and a DOI number will be assigned.

Length

Total length of the documents should not be less than 4,000 words or more than 6,000 words, excluding bibliographical references and annexes. The citation style is the latest version of APA.

Abstract

A brief and objective abstract of 250-300 words is required, both in Spanish and English. The abstract must briefly indicate the relevance of the topic, the purpose of the research, the research procedure, the main results and the main conclusions.

Keywords

After the abstract, the authors must provide a maximum of 5 keywords about the central content of the article in Spanish and English. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes and should be chosen from the UNESCO Thesaurus English Controlled List of Keywords (available at http://vocabularies.unesco.org/browser/thesaurus/en/groups)

Formal aspects

The article must be formatted according to the Linguo Didactica MS Word template , available for download here (English template).

It is a basic competence of the author or authors to present the article with this template and well formatted from the first submission. We recommend that this task be performed with full attention and care. It is not an initial task of the journal to ensure that the text is well formatted, but of the author to start the article being admitted and going to the review phase. Attention, submissions that do not contain the suggested sections (in the article structure section), or that are not well formatted carefully with this template or that neglect to quote carefully the latest APA regulations will be directly rejected.

Article Structure

The authors will have the template and will adapt the headings of this template depending on the type of article they submit. The manuscript is divided into sections as appropriate to each type of article:

- If it is an article evaluating an intervention or research article or systematic bibliographic reviews or documentary reviews or case studies, the template that reproduces this structure is used directly: Introduction, main body of the text or Theoretical framework or main body of the text, Methods (with sections indicated in the template), Results, Discussion, Conclusions and References (later, if possible, annexes).

Subsections should be numbered 1.1 (then 1.1.1, 1.1.2, etc.), 1.2, etc. Any subsection may have a short heading, and each heading must appear on its own separate line.

Language

All the articles published by Linguo Didactica are published in English and will be sent with the template in such a way (English template click here). An initial (provisional) proposal of the article can be made in Spanish following the template format. In the event that it is accepted for publication by the journal, the authors agree to submit an English version of the article with the English template within 45 days of receiving notification of acceptance. It is strongly recommended that the text be translated and proofread by a native British or American professional. Authors should bear in mind that figures and tables must also appear in English. This is a mandatory requirement. Failure to do so may abort the publication process of the article, as well as verifying that the level of academic English reached is acceptable. Authors should be aware of this commitment when they first submit their article to avoid future disappointments regarding the final publication.

Other criteria:

Check the correctness of the spelling (whether it is initially in Spanish, or the constant use of US or British English in the final text) before submitting the work.

It should be avoided, as well as national colloquialisms and idiomatic use of language to avoid misunderstandings and the use of gender-neutral language following APA regulations.

Not providing a grammatically and syntactically correct text, either initially in Spanish or at the end in English) could be a valid reason to justify the rejection of a presentation.

Style:

The writing style follows the style guideline of the latest version of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).

If the authors do not speak English, it is strongly recommended that a native English speaker (British or North American) professional translator of academic writing translate and proofread the article before submitting it, since the text must reach a level of academic English suitable for be published.

Only internationally accepted abbreviations may be used without definition. Other abbreviations should be defined at the first mention in the text.

References

The manuscript correctly explains and cites the sources and materials used.

References have been prepared in accordance with the latest Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).

Each reference cited in the text must also be present in the list of references and vice versa.

The references must be as timely as possible with respect to the review and mastery of this subject, resorting to specialized and current sources, and preferably citing works published in the last 5 years.

Authors must not self -cite or over-cite other articles in Linguo Didactica .

A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) must be provided for all references cited in the manuscript that have one (http://www.doi.org/)

Whenever possible, URLs of references should also be provided.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.)

The tables and figures must appear in the text and illustrate the previous comments of the authors adding more information and description of data. They cannot be more than 6 in total.

Graphics must be JPG, TIFF, or EPS files.

All graphics must be submitted in high resolution (eg 300 DPI).

All figure headings or footnotes must be included in the manuscript according to APA.

In case there is any problem with the editing of the original graphs and tables, these original graphs and tables can be requested again from the authors. Therefore, authors must save these until the article has been published.

Quotes

Quotations from other works should be limited to those strictly necessary for the argument without abuse of verbatim quotations. Any citation must be brief and accompanied by precise references following the APA citation style.

Originality

The articles sent for evaluation must be original, not have been previously published, in whole or in part , either in other journals or in any media, nor accepted for publication, nor be in the process of evaluation in other media. diffusion. In the event that an article submitted for evaluation is not entirely original, the Linguo Didactica journal reserves the right not to accept more articles by these authors for evaluation.

Name and affiliation of the authors

In the first document with author data, all the identification data of the authors must be provided, including the full name, professional affiliation (specifying the city and country) and email addresses.

Other important aspects

In the case of research financed with regional, national or international public funds, the authors must indicate the name of the project and the financing entities in the manuscript file. The publication of articles about investigations of European projects, especially those of the KA2 program, are of interest to this Journal.

In the case of an innovation project funded by the universities' own calls, the authors must indicate the name of the project and the funding entities in the manuscript file.

Permission must have been obtained for the use of copyrighted material from other sources, including the Internet.

An article cannot be signed by more than three authors and half or more must have obtained the degree of doctor. Articles signed by four authors will be considered only in exceptional circumstances with prior justification in document 1 with author data.

Authors must complete the conflicting interests section during the manuscript submission process.

After an author has published in Linguo didáctica, he will not be able to publish any new manuscripts in the next two issues.

Ethical commitments

Authors must comply with all ethical obligations of the journal.

If there are human participants in the research conducted, the authors must:

Explain in the manuscript the process followed for their consent to participate.

Detail in the manuscript the explicit authorization by a recognized ethics committee to carry out the research.

Provide editors, if required, with the documentary information necessary to verify that said consent and authorization has been obtained.

In the event that a participant can be identified in the manuscript, this information must be eliminated and the use of anonymous or pseudonym proposed to preserve the privacy and data protection of the participants.
