Plane: There is no airport in Huelva, the nearest one is in Seville (Spain) or Faro (Portugal). There are good
connections by train and coach between Seville and Huelva. You may also fly to Madrid, and once there
take a domestic flight or a train to Seville.
Train (www.renfe.es): On your arrival to Madrid, you can take a direct train to Huelva. An ALVIA operates
once a day at 19:05, arriving in Huelva at 22:55. You may also take a high velocity train (AVE) running
between Madrid and Seville approximately every hour during the day (07:00-21:00). From Seville to Huelva,
the train timetable to Huelva is as follows: 08:50, 14:30 (Monday-Saturday), 15:30 (Sundays) and 20:20.
The journey takes about two hours and a half.
Coach: Regular coach services from Madrid to Huelva (www.socibus.es) operate daily from Estación Sur (C/
Méndez Álvaro, Madrid) at 08:00, 11:00, 16:00 and 23:00. From Seville (www.damas-sa.es), coaches run to
Huelva every hour from 7:30 to 21:00, from Plaza de Armas Bus Station.
Car: If coming from Madrid, follow Nacional IV to Seville, and take A-49 to Huelva.
Local Buses: (www.emtusahuelva.es) The University (Campus del Carmen) is served by the following bus routes:
From Huelva Bus Station and from the Train Station: bus #5 (20-minute intervals). A quarter of an hour from the Train
station or 25 minutes from the Bus station should be allowed for the bus journey via the town center to cover the
connections.
Bus #8 also serves the route from Campus to the Bus Station and the Train Station.
From downtown Huelva to the Campus: Bus #3 (15-minute intervals).
