1º WORKSHOP OF THE PROJECT RISE

Last Thursday, the 22^nd of October there was celebrated in the Experimental Sciences Faculty, in the El Carmen Campus of the University of Huelva, the first cross-border Workshop in the frame of the project RISE, Researcher'  Network of Europa's Southwest, approved in the first summons of the proyectos of the Operative Program of cross-border Cooperation Spain - Portugal 2007-2013. This Network takes as a principal aim the dynamization of joint activities of research in the cross-border space of the regions of Andalusia, the Algarve and the Baiixo Alentejo.

 

 

In this first Workshop the groups of research participants showed the first results of the research projects they are developing in the RISE. These projects are: cross-border Study on behaviors of risk for the health in the higher education (LIVES), Roman Cities of the Southwest of Roman Spain (CROSUDHIS), Tools for the prompt detection of episodes of biological pollution in waters of reservoirs(damming) for human consumption (CIANOTOOLS), environmental Management of the Estuary of the river The Guadiana (MEGASIGIDT), strategic Evaluation (EAE-FER) of the possible railway connections Huelva-ALgarve, Study of the presence of disruptores endocrine and of his effects in marshes and aquatic ecosystems of the cross-border region of the Southwest of Spain and Portugal (ENDOCRIBIOTOX), Study of the presence of medicaments: Diagnostics, effects and risks in the marshes and aquatic ecosystems of the cross-border region of the Southwest of Spain and Portugal (FARMACOTOX), Technological development in culture without soil (HiIDROPON), Study of the geographical traceability of the oils of olive virgins of the Iberian Southwest (OLITRACE), Photobehaviour of benzimidazole-derived pesticides and models in water closet solution and nanocontainers (PHOTOPESTICIDAS) and New technologies poscosechas in Mediterranean products. Citrus fruits and Olive trees of Oil-mill (TECNOMED).

 

This type of meetings is directed to establish a free zone of borders for the research between Spain and Portugal, and the construction of an European Space of Research.
