Editorial Update: Temporary Slowdown Resolved – Regular Editorial Operations Resumed

2026-07-17

The Editorial Board of Enlightening Tourism. A Pathmaking Journal is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive enhancement of the journal's editorial workflow and peer review management system.

Over the past weeks, the journal has undertaken a substantial reorganization of its editorial processes, including the introduction of a structured Associate Editors model, the optimization of the editorial workflow within the OJS platform, the revision of editorial communication templates, and the implementation of new procedures designed to improve the efficiency, transparency and consistency of manuscript handling.

During this transition period, some submissions experienced longer processing times than usual. We sincerely thank all authors, reviewers and editors for their patience, understanding and continued support.

With the implementation phase now completed, the journal has returned to its regular editorial operations. All pending submissions are currently being processed under the new workflow, and newly submitted manuscripts will benefit from a more structured, efficient and transparent editorial process.

These improvements reflect the journal's ongoing commitment to strengthening its international profile, enhancing the quality of the peer review process and providing an increasingly effective editorial service to the global research community.

On behalf of the Editorial Board, we thank our authors, reviewers and Associate Editors for their trust and collaboration during this important stage in the journal's development.
