SUMMARY

The experience accumulated from the year 2003 with the development of the Project Drog, under the protection of the Community Initiative Interreg III To of Cross-border Cooperation Spain - Portugal in the production and the implementation of a program of prevention in the area of the consumption of drugs, by means of the use of the Technologies of the Information and the Communication like an instrument of work and a half of prevention of risk in the higher education, has reported sufficient information to be conscious that the university student body is exposed and is not foreign, besides the addiction to the drugs, to other situations of high rashly for the health, since they are the addictive consumption of the games of chance, technological means and Internet; as well as the contagion of sexually transmitted diseases.

For it, it becomes necessary, of simultaneous form, a scientific study realizes in three Institutions to have an exact knowledge of the degree of incident of the above mentioned situations of risks, simultaneously that to realize actions of prevention that favor the promotion of the health and of the well-being of the university student body.

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

Precedents

In the last years, they are starting developing some studies that are affecting in the knowledge of the addictions of the university students to the drugs, to the technological means and in minor measure to the game. Also studies are stated that to try to know the habits of the university students in the area of his sexuality.

Current State of the knowledge

It is necessary to penetrate on the knowledge of the habits into the consumption of drugs and the addictions to the new technologies into all his variants, including the ciber sex and the ciber I play in the university students of Huelva, The Algarve and Beja. For it, we believe necessarily, to know the situations of risks for the health of our university students in everything relative to practices that affect in sexually transmitted diseases, to formulate and to develop shares of prevention, later.

AIMS OF THE PROJECT

General aim

1. To realize a scientific study in three university Institutions (Huelva, The Algarve and Beja), to have an exact knowledge of the degree of incident of the following situations of risks for the health of the students: addictions to the drugs, to the games of chance and to technological means and Internet, as well as the contagion of sexually transmitted diseases.

Specific aims

1. To know the habits of our students.

2. To stimulate initiatives and to formulate effective offers of prevention in the university area
